Merchants Inn

Review

The Merchants Inn is a very popular venue in the centre of the historical market town of Rugby, Warwickshire, and is a traditional English country pub. During the day great quality pub food is served, but the evenings are for sampling the vast array of real ales and beers from around the world which are on offer. Many guest ales, quite often from local breweries and brewed especially for theme weeks such as the yearly Real Ale Festival, are also offered to tempt the connoisseur. In fact The Merchants is a CAMRA listed Cask Marque member and hosts a number of different Beer Festivals throughout the year, all of which are well attended.

Music doesn’t play a big role in this pub’s ambiance unless it’s a live band or artist, leaving the way free for good conversation. Regular events keep the regulars and visitors on their toes and the big screen is used to show (mostly) rugby, tennis, F1 and cricket. Footie fans, however, will be disappointed.
