Review
The Imperial Hotel, as the name suggests, is first and foremost a hotel. It is a 5 – 10 minute walk from Rugby Train station or a couple of minutes by taxi if you prefer.
The Imperial is included on the Rugby CAMRA web site and serves mainly bottled real ale with one or two cask ales.
Sisters Paula and Nicky, who run the hotel, are eager to create a good family hotel right in the heart of the neighbourhood. They support a local charity which is helping to keep a children’s play park from being closed by the council. The play park, which backs onto the hotel, is run by volunteers and plans have been submitted by Paul and Nicky to have an access built direct from the Imperial’s attractive beer garden for use by the hotel residents.
They serve traditional home cooked style food with a carvery on Sundays. Accommodation is very reasonably priced and is popular with travelling business people during the week. There is a good sized car park available which can be secured at night.
